A romantic stay in Bruges, suites for two
A quiet street in the centre, self check-in with a code, and a jacuzzi and sauna in your own suite. Two suites, both for two.
A romantic hotel in Bruges is usually a hotel that put "romantic" in its name. What couples are looking for is more concrete: a place where no one disturbs you, on a street where you actually sleep at night, with something in the room that makes the stay itself the programme.
The Rose Suites is a small guesthouse on Elf-Julistraat, a residential street in the Ezelstraat quarter — no terraces under the window, but a ten-minute walk to the Markt. You check yourself in with a code you receive in advance: no reception, no waiting, no one asking what time you will arrive. And in two of the suites the jacuzzi and the sauna stand in the room itself.
That is also who stays here: across six years of bookings, seven in ten guests come as a couple.
The romantic room
The Sweet Rose
About 30 m², a double bed, a jacuzzi and a private sauna, and nothing else to distract you. Honest about the layout, because you would rather read it here than on the stairs: the shower is in the room, the toilet is just outside the door on the landing and is yours alone, and the room is on the second floor — by the stairs, with your luggage going up in the luggage lift.

The upgrade
Private Wellness Suite
If you want more space and more wellness, this is the suite: about 35 m², a jacuzzi, a Finnish and an infrared sauna, and a private sitting corner with an electric fireplace and two lounge chairs. Private bathroom with a double shower.
From €225

Your evening
Arrive after four, when the day-trippers leave and the streets empty. Switch the sauna on before you go back out. Walk to the canals as the light fades — the one walk in Bruges you do not skip — and come back whenever you feel like it, because the jacuzzi is not waiting for a time slot.
How to turn that into a whole weekend, with the busy hours avoided and the suite at the right moment, is in the weekend guide for two → This is the short version: arrive late, get up early, and go back inside over midday.
