Who it is for
For a couple with a child. Your child has a bed of their own, you have a double bed, and there is somewhere to sit together that is not next to the bed. In a hotel room in the centre of Bruges, that is not a given.
Travelling with a baby? A cot is available on request, but it is not free.
Who it is not for: with four people it does not work — then The Desert Rose, with two double beds, is the room. And anyone who finds stairs difficult is better off without a duplex with a spiral staircase.

Where it is
Elf-Julistraat 27, in the Ezelstraat quarter: a residential street a kilometre from the Markt. With a child that is a pleasant distance, about ten to twelve minutes on foot through a centre with very little traffic.
You check in yourself, with a code you receive in advance. If you only arrive late in the evening after a long drive, that is no problem. You share the house's kitchen, lounge and terrace with the other guests — handy for a bottle or a sandwich in between.
